Mary Did You Know? - Kutless

It smells in the stable. But Mary doesn't notice.

It is cold outside. But Mary is clutching a warm baby's body next to her. They share each other's warmth.

It is very dark with only a small olive oil lamp burning in a corner now. But she she can only gaze in wonder at the newborn in her arms.

Her body is tired from the convulsions and trauma of giving birth. But she doesn't feel that anymore. Instead she feels the beating heart of a baby against her breast, with skin so soft. Smooth as a baby's bottom they say.

The Messiah. The Son of God, the angel had told her.

Luke 2:19
Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.

Kutless sings "Mary Did You Know"

Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day walk on water? Mary did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters? Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new? This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man? Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand? Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod? And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God.

The blind will see, the deaf will hear and the dead will live
again. The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the
lamb.

Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day rule the nations? Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb? This sleeping child you're holding is the great I am.

I can only ask myself the same thing. I shall ponder today that this friend of mine... Jesus my Savior, is all that.
