Chris Tomlin has a new Christmas album. The song, "My Soul Magnifies the Lord" kicks us off into the last 2 weeks of Advent. It is time to look more closely at the manger.Mary, the mother of Jesus, was at first terrified, then awed when an angel told her she would carry the Son of God, the Messiah, in her womb. When she finally grasped it, she was overtaken by worship. She burst into a beautiful Psalm of praise- an amazing oration considering she was a teenage Jewish girl from a poor household.

"My soul magnifies the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name.
Chris Tomlin's song reminds me that I too, can worship Him. He has done great things for me. I can hardly begin counting the things He has done for me.
